about

I was down at the beach for the first time in a long time yesterday. I took a train on my own to get there. On the way I wrote a story about a steam train in a small civilised town. An ambitious new track was being built for it. There were two feuding Brothers who owned a shop selling very fine moss. The shop was going bust but there was hope that the new train line would bring customers in. Yes, the track was ambitious. It was designed by a man named jim diGriz and it had a 90 degree bend in it.

I made this beat for the final scene. The two Brothers and the town at large were gathered for the opening of the new track. Tension in the air. jim digriz was as cool as ever. I was just moving along slowly on the back of 'local' Phil's mini moke with a few balloons and my technicalmusicbox gadget. I was playing this song live for the first time. The people of the town, although tense, were shoe shuffling to the beat ('Local' Phil was just slowly moving his head to the rhythm).

The real train that I was on arrived at Manly beach and I got off and left the story on a cliffhanger. This is the beat for you.
